Opening Day Letter from Ruth B. Johnson CEO of Roundup River Ranch – Watch The Video – July 6, 2011

Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement that today, July 6, 2011, Roundup River Ranch will welcome our very first campers. After nearly five years of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment, we have built a place where the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses will be changed. We invite each of you to celebrate the laughter, the smiles, the empowerment, the friendships, and the adventure that will be shared today and always at Roundup River Ranch.

Camp was built and shaped by an incredible community of Board members, volunteers, friends, advocates, donors, and staff, and we could not have reached this milestone without each of you; we offer our sincerest thanks and gratitude for your support. Because of you, hundreds of children will have the opportunity to attend camp completely free of charge. Because of you, the dreams of our campers will be come real life adventures and achievements.

We offer a special thank you to Alison Knapp, our founder and chairman, for her vision, service, tenacity and leadership. Thanks to her willingness and courage to articulate her dream, the magical place she envisioned has become a reality.

As we count down the final hours until camper arrival, our hearts are filled with pride and joy for not only what we have achieved but for what will come next; this is only the beginning. On behalf of the campers whose lives will be enriched and transformed because of Roundup River Ranch, we thank you. You made something truly extraordinary happen.

With gratitude and excitement,

Ruth B. Johnson, JD

Chief Executive Officer
